Cera really knocks it out of the park with the second half performance. I got what I expected out of him, plus a lot more, taking what felt like a typecast role into something very interesting.
I agree that the plot felt convoluted, but it felt right on the line of "comedically insane" and "too much". It ultimately fell on the "comedically insane" side for me, but I can share the feelings that you expressed.
This was an excellent introduction to Mia Threapleton for me.
Definitely agree! Yeah the comedically insane aspect of it was honestly what I admired about it more than anything, I just wish the set-up was a bit easier to follow. Cera's performance is EASILY one of my favorites of the year so far!
